TL:DR >U.S. has 130% debt to GDP ratio >Raising rates to fight inflation increases U.S. Debt dramatically >By the time we curb inflation with rates, not even selling every last thing in the country could pay off the debts
What are you lads going to do? Do you have food stocked up?

>TFW thought you'd be able to quit your job and just freelance and fuck around this year >Was training for another job as backup but incoming layoffs and shutdown of job market have fucked that >Stuck in dead-end job that can barely afford groceries, haven't done anything nice for myself since 2019 W E W
Crypto is going back to zero. Everything else you said is valid. Firearms and high end jewelry (Rolex, etc.) are also great investments.

I mean, you are the world reserve currency (not for long), the petrodollar is a thing. You could - I know you won't but still - maybe lift ALL your sanctions on ALL nations so their oil can be traded in YOUR currency. That might help. Also could undermine China by bringing manufacturing out of there. Just some thoughts, too late but hey, it's nice to post on Any Forums

>all these people coming out of the woodwork talking about national debt, inflation, and the state of the economy Where have you been for the past decade?
>Crypto is going back to zero Crypto is coming back to reality and shit coins will go to zero. Projects like Ethereum will continue because Ethereum was never meant to be a financial asset in the first place, and the price of ETH coming down will make the network more accessible / affordable.

Basically me I will never forgive the people who derailed my life these past few years and they deserve all the fed posting that is going to be directed at them in the near future
Capital is going to flow in from overseas if it ever gets near that, pushing interest rates back down. We won't see 0% ever again, but they wont be apocalyptic.
We're lucky that the rest of the world is also in slow motion collapse. For the EU, Japan, China, etc., raising interest rates is not an option. We are the best looking fat girl at the party.

this. hopefully all the centralization layers built on top of crypto go to zero. crypto was never meant to have any layers of centralization introduced... based grudge holder

It is dumb to assume that the USD would be at risk from either of those things.
Inability to trade in foreign goods with dollars is the only thing that could cause it to collapse, and we literally force people to do that. There is a clear and continuous track record of the United States orchestrating coups against leaders who work against the dollar, and going to war against countries that do. Larger money supply within the domestic economy just means employees continually asking for raises. It would create labor market disruption, but that's about it.

We've been on this road for a century. It's been blindingly obvious for half that time.

If I were in Trump's shoes in late November, I would have thrown the election and let Biden have it. Everything was bound to happen, but Biden is doing it at 3X speed
