I think that picture illustrates how gun rights should actually work; there should be a public armory managed by an elected sheriff where people can train and shoot assault weapons, but can't bring them home for private possession.
This way, during an emergency, the sheriff can dispense the weapons to the deputized public and resist tyranny. But the idea that everyone should just have countless assault weapons in their private possession outside of an organized resistance campaign is unhinged.
