Discussions of shit jobs have been pretty common here lately on /pol. See People are obviously fed up with many jobs and are talking about what constitutes a "real job." I'd say the following must apply in order for a job to be real instead of just a kiddie job: >minimum $80,000 per year >no physical labor >no walking more than a mile a day, for like a floor or site manager >respect from society >good benefits and retirement plan >nothing in the service industry >no warehousing - it's a kiddie job
If your job is performed exclusively at a computer it's not a real job
Xavier Torres
If you not working minimum wage, it's a real job not matter how lazy you are.
If you're working minimum wage, all the other jobs are fake ass job that can be automated.
But just be born. Fuck doing any work at all. Work is fucking stupid.
Chase Lewis
this is a despressingly true criteria of what constitutes a "real" job in the western world. basically being part of a money laundering racket. why? because a "real job" doesn't involve any real work.
Sebastian White
any job that if it were to disappear over night, were to cause absolute chaos
Jordan Bell
How do we define 'real work'? Here's a reasonable criterion: if we eliminate all X and society collapses, then it's really necessary and should be considered 'real work', whereas if society could function without worker-type Y, then Y is not 'real work'. Let's test this, if all poojeet phone scammers died tomorrow, society would go on just fine without them - hence that is not 'real work'. Whereas if all garbagemen died tomorrow, we'd soon be up to our elbows in unhygienic filth, people would get sick yada yada - hence this is necessary and real work.
Carson Taylor
This. Plus most of these jobs are about to disappear in the upcoming recession. I look forward to the endless kvetching from the devops faggots here when they all get laid off from their meme jobs that literally cannot exist outside of prosperous times. >inb4 "not me I'm absolutely indispensable" You are not and you're about to find that out the hard way.
Yeah, I was just listing what I think society regards as a "real job." It gets worse as the years go by. Jobs that used to be real are no longer real.
Gabriel Wright
Most people here are pretty stupid and employed in some menial brainless job like truck drivers. A few low level white collar folks, and a microscopic number that are actually intelligent working as entrepreneurs or high up in tech. I honestly wonder how many people who post here are unemployed
Eli Phillips
Are entrepreneurs and people in high tech really so much smarter than most? I've met a lot of dumb business owners.
Jace Cook
>a real job
I hate you people. When a boomer says "real job" he means one that can support a household regarding income; the problem with this is that many higher paying "careers" are flooded with women and most of the "work" isn't actual work in any meaningful sense.
So people who do labor jobs get angry.

Entrepreneurs aren't always smart but they usually have some degree of balls. Tech also has tiers to it; entry level is a mixed bag but the higher up you get in certain types of jobs/companies the higher the caliber usually.

>warehousing doesn’t count because you’re not allowed to not go to good goyim indoctrination college and be considered an adult
Jacob Morris
Yes because playing office politics while your company’s entire revenue is sourced from the third world is so high IQ, it’s not like it’s literally forced hypersocialization to make the women whores and the men cucks
Carson Murphy
Get a real job you lazy faggot
Angel Peterson
>he doesn't understand the economy and think the only way to get money is sucking jew boots ngmi
economy is based on trade stuff that is desired by others, just sell shit and stop being a wagie
gives me a half chub at the thought of these overpaid faggots having to work a real job
Jordan Davis
If society started falling apart if all of a sudden nobody wanted to work your job, then you have a real job. Garbage men, doctors, construction, field workers, plumbers, police officer (to a certain extent) electricians, grocery workers. All of these people make society work. Lawyers, HR people, managers, ceo’s etc are the actual leeches of society. Nobody would notice if they disappeared.

Nurse! Get this man his meds

Are you one of the office fauna that a comment like his would offend?
