Just find undeveloped land in the middle of nowhere with no signs of life. Then look up land deeds and find some land owned by someone 8 states away. Chances are they inherited it, never use it, never will, but the taxes are so cheap they keep paying them so they can say "I own land in the middle of nowhere 8 states away I never use."

You perpetually feel like a dirtbag because everyone expects you to be a consumer so even just killing time in a parking lot you get the sense that you're a burden. That fucks with you after a while. If you want to be happy you need society to appreciate your existence. Unfortunately that means conformity. It is the only way to reliably not feel like a burden on others. To have a job and pay all dues. It sucks, but you need that nod of approval from your community or you will become twisted mentally. You need your community to have your back and support your actions and that means your actions need to be good ones that contribute to society.

Companies are already making the switch to smaller internal combustion engines because the EPA regulations are making it more and more difficult to manufacture V8 engines according to their specs. Many companies are already making the switch to EVs. Ever heard of the Ford Lightning? I personally think that many politicians have stock in the EV industry and would make a lot of money if we fully switched to that kind of vehicle. What retards that support this shit don't realize is how environmentally damaging lithium mining is, which is how they get the stuff to make the batteries for the electric cars. In my opinion leaving behind the internal combustion engine is one of the biggest mistakes the world could make, and it's exactly what they want to do.
