We didn't involve lawyers. No kids or serious assets involved.

I hired a judge as my lawyer. She didn’t stand a chance.

Oddly enough, most of the divorcees in my family are men that kept custody of their kids,all married batshit insane drug addicted women. My father in law actually sued his ex-wife (not my wife's mother) and won.

I was divorced in California in 2014. Sadly, my wife passed away unfortunate case of botulism shortly after initiating divorce procedures. Terribly sad.

I used to feel like that, but to each their own. I had to threaten to abandon my kids during the divorce several times because of how ridiculous the Magistrate, my ex and her lawyer were being.
