Why do people buy trucks?

>Be an average American
>Work in an office or similar occupation which does NOT require you to have a truck
>Have have no need for a truck as trucks are for people who work jobs that require large spaces for items that would otherwise not fit in a regular car
>Buy a truck anyway because muh trucks or because you found trucks cool during when you were kid
>Never really use the truck for truck purposes and keep the bed covered
>Afraid to put anything in the bed because it might get stolen
>Just made a terrible financial decision because gas prices are now through the roof and your truck gets 10mpg

Why are truck people so retarded?

>See furniture left on sidewalk
>Load into truck
It's that easy, and practically pays for itself. Try that with your electricuck vehicle.

It’s a symbol of middle class prosperity, rugged self-reliance, and all the things disappearing from this world.

Because they're good in shitty conditions, can carry people in the back more comfortably than a sedan and can fit bulky shit that sedans can't.

You're ignorant of what you don't understand, don't attempt to even try to understand it, or you're a shill. Go away. You're like the darkness trying to understand the light. You won't.

AMERICA IS HUGE
IT HAS HUGE GUTS

IT NEEDS F350S EVEN IF YOU NEVER HAUL ANYTHING IN THE BED

I don't know, but you should have seen the look on the guy's face at my local aggregates dealer when I filled the back of my accord with 1.5 tons of gravel.

op does not own a home

This time last year, the roads were full of brand new 2022 Chevy Silverados, those big, stupid, doofy boomer ones that you can't even see over the hood in. Fast forward to now and there's like 1/6 as many now, everyone returned them because using a literal commercial vehicle as a commuter car or grocery getter was too much even for the retarded demographic that usually buys such things.

I love to see it. I love watching the upper middle class feel the burn the rest of us have felt since 2008. I'm looking forward to them all being underwater on their mortgages they signed onto at the top of the market as well. Tech industry is next, most of those jobs cannot exist in anything but prosperous times. It's coming rich people, you're fucked like the rest of us. Perhaps even more so, since you don't have the 15 years experiences surviving in a dystopic hellscape like the rest of us peasants.

To make you cry, faggot.

it is true I work all day in an office, well now I work at home office. On the weekends I need to go go home depot and pick flowers and plants that my wife and her boyfriend have decided look good at our house. So my weekends are pretty busy hauling stuff in the bed and the extra ground clearance really helps with the speed bumps in the parking lots.

Buying a fancy car shouldn't be a decision that ruin your finances unless the car itself is crazy expensive, your parent or their parents could buy a new Mustang with money earned from part time summer job, and this:
>Buy a truck anyway because muh trucks or because you found trucks cool during when you were kid
Should be good enough reason to get one.

You know what just shut the fuck up. I work as a gardener and a tracker driver. People are going to get really upset when growing season hits and inflation ass rapes the cost of food because the president is doing his best to bankrupt every one using combustion engines to harvest food.

towing my sailboat. Get back to your pod, nigger.

I have a truck because I like diesel and how it smells and modifying it and it’s faster than 90% of everything else on the road lol

Lab grown meat will eliminate this profession. And yes, gas prices will force the pocket.

embrace electricity, user

Wow, the Panther platform really can do everything. Basically just a truck chassis with a car frame, I'm never getting rid of mine.
