It's called controlled opposition. They create a group that does nothing (pointless marches and other failures such as getting arrested) and they just monitor the people in it. They direct right wing dissidents to this honeypot group so they can be controlled and make sure they don't do anything that would actually hurt the system.

Even if they weren't feds they are all retarded as a political group, they continually get their members arrested. That's it. Stuffing a bunch of people into the back of a U-Haul is illegal in most states. Breaking that kind of law opens them up to arrest. Even if they are doing NOTHING else.
