I'm left handed like my father and his older brother. My uncle was forced to switch to the right hand but in the meantime there was a breakout in child psychology and school psychologist suggested my grandma to not force to change writing hand of my father as well. And it was in early 1970s.

I personally was never asked or bothered to change my hand as a kid. Some teachers were just pissed off due to my bad writing style quality.

The only thing that constantly fucks me being left handed is trying to use calipers to measure shit. I dial it in and the stupid thing is upside down so I have to like rotate both arms and peek underneath while keeping tension. A good set for lefty’s is like 5 times the prices of normal ones.
