What Atheists fail to realise is that the majority of humanity lack any sort of moral compass, empathy, compassion etc. and they will just do and hold whatever opinions the authority tells them to.
It is why they condoned slavery and segregation and it is why they put women and children into gas chambers.

Take the recent vaccine mandates for an example, they were morally wrong, they were ultimatums, not consensual.
But they all capitulated and sentenced their children to a world where they have no body autonomy.
They even called for punishment for those that wouldn't take it, they are obsequious and cowardly and will try and please the authorities like the sycophants they are.

So without religion and with people in power who think promoting murder, rape and torture of people, then they will do it, history has shown us this.

Atheists can be forgiven because they will naturally assume that majority of people are like them, that they don't ned religion to know write from wrong and have inbuilt feelings and a sense of rationality.
But you are wrong 90% of Australia is double vaccinated, this is a good barometer to establish that the majority of people are scum.
You will think that the people are like you, and that the holocaust sounds so far fetched, but 90% of Australia took 2 doses of an experimental vax and in so doing supported a two tier society of segregation.
The Jews showed us a small window into their nature, but it was enough to realise that depending on what they are shown humanity and their depravity is unbounded.
And so here is my point, religion was created by our ancestors to restrain them and turn their morally vacuous natures into one that is good, albeit a fake and synthetic good, but good none the less.
It can even turn their obsequious nature to the authority in religion and god to one that upholds virtues, instead of cruelty.
