today apparently "Le Monde" newspaper reported that the French military is preparing a possible operation to free the sea blockade of Odessa. I don't understand any of it: 1) the mines which block Odessa are Ukrainian mines to prevent a Russian amphibious assault, so the Ukrainians are the ones making the blockade, no? 2) How will France pass the Dardanelles, didn't the Turks block the passage for military ships? 3) Won't the French start a NATO-Russia war by doing this? 4) Does the French Navy have the capacity for such an operation? Maybe one of you knows more...
