Something about cats is inherently human. Dogs to me seem more like servants whereas cats companions.

Just a thought to add, but most people have forgotten the value of birds, specifically pigeons. We treat them like vermin now ( I understand the shit everywhere) but the mass numbers we have today are because of humans and human intervention. A lot of people don't even know the common pigeon is a domesticated animal that you can literally pluck from a sidewalk and it will easily domesticate just like a dog. It's really a shame how public perception of them has gotten so bad when they used to be our loyal servants.
