I have Ukranian family who still pass stories from the war.

Basically it comes down to, Nazis treated them well (and they are ethnic Russian btw) soviets treated them like shit and used them as meat shields. I basically go by sources in real life not television. As a kid (born early 80's) I talked with so many people that lived during the war and most really had it good under Nazi occupation my grandfather would have fought with them against the communist but he got in an accident and lost his arm. I used to think it was only in the west that the Nazis were good for the people and they were inhumane in the east. But then I married a half ukranian and I heard the same stories from that side. Basically the bad guys (soviets) won that war and now Russians are larping with Soviet flags against, they should be destroyed or reeducated l, make them feel pride for their regions and hate for Russia.
