He supported the creation of Israel as a place to send them to. Previously he created a "Far-eastern Jewish SSR" , but obviously Jews didn';t buy it and didn't move there. With the creation of Israel it changed, and many of the Jews left the USSR without creating any international uproar a forced deportation to Siberia would cause. the USSR and Israel opposed eachother politically ever since, and the USSR supported the Arabs
