I fell for the forklift meme

What await me ? A great career full of opportunities ? Hopefully.

You're gonna need that forklift, because the only women who would date a forklift operator are like 400lbs.

>get new forklift at work pic rel
>no sideshifting of the forks
>no cupholder

Life is suffering good pay though

I once saw a forklift run over a persons head. They died.
Also another time someone drove the forklift off the edge of the loading dock. They jumped out of the cab when it started and it almost killed him.

Anyway guess the lesson is stay in the fucking cab.

damn thats pretty fucking cringe

let me guess your a flaming homosexual that can't go one day without mentioning a forklift to a random stranger.
Learn a real skill, nigger
you will NEVER be without a roommate

Forklifting is fun and I was really good at it. Unfortunately the store fired me because I wouldn't wear the muzzle

don't worry, I'm pretty sure one day you'll lift something really important

I saw someone on a forklift back into a support poll and knock a fire extinguisher off but it didn’t explode. I was watching the whole thing but didn’t say anything and he tried to act like it was my fault somehow.

I used to drive a forklift. Try to get a job in a wearhouse where you don't have to lift stuff down all day. Sitting down and looking up really fucks your neck up pretty quick.

The only "opportunity" you earn is either furthering your career into trucking. the company will force you to learn all the shipping warning signs and think because you can drive a forklift you should be well then qualified to drive a big rig because they both have steering wheels

yes you get to sit on your ass and pull levers all day but if shit falls over your requires to get off and pick it up.

Count yourself lucky op. You have no idea what I would give to be forklift certified again, but thats never happening.. not after the incident

Its shit job but well better than nothing.

Ya dun goofed didn't ya bong?

you dont choose the forklift life, the forklift live chooses you

>Yeah bro, be a wage slave and fork lift, nothing risky about it at all. Look at me I survived.

Kek I dont want to be stabbed

Imagine wearing this - unironically.

kinda wondering what a lifetime iv of morphine would be like. really looking forward to soma

Doctors told his devastated girlfriend Sabia Reiche, now 21, he wouldn't survive, and she said goodbye to him six times, fearing he wouldn't live another day.

>Oh you survived. I dont believe it.

why are you trying to discourage others with how "dangerous" it is? you deserve to be mangled if you managed to be injured by a forklift. fucking thing constantly beeps and has a top speed of 15mph

Yep and in Europe we are pretty autists with security rules. Anyway Im not a retard I drived other things before I know how to pay attention.

Where do you draw the line at what a "real" skill is?

I wanna be a forklift operator simply for the attire and straight fucking bragging rights

Dude I also had an incident that fucked me. I was out partying and went home with some girl. She pulled out some white shit and asked if I wanted a line. Thinking it was cocaine I said yes and did a small bump. Turns out it was ampthetamines and we did that shit all night. When I went home I bought some off her and went home and continued doing it until monday morning at which point I went to work after being awake for like 40 hours, high on meth pretty much so they fired me. Worst part was that my uncle got me the job and my cousin also works there so everyone knows about it. Going to any family gathering on my moms side of the family is forever hell on earth now.

At least its not real, its just some photoshop on some dude's back

It takes like 2 hours to complete forklift driver training. It is not a real skill. You can be easily replaced by almost anyone. You have a job not a career

i used to work in a warehouse. they pay was bad and a bit dangerous because sometimes heavy objects would fall down from shelves or the forklift. i don't miss it.

kek
Her good years are closing and she spent them with a head of lettuce. Wont even get his leftovers bc she's noncommittal.

Should ask her what it's like being an emotional support pet.

Jokes on me I spent 1800 hours in trade school just to see the boss teaching a mexican how to install tires on my first day.

I know it was sarcasm here its one week for get the liscence.

Wtf is that cucklift?
I'll guess it's for lifting really heavy pallets with a small footprint?

Upgrade your qualification to something like this

Only positive is for your resume. You jump ahead of all the other people that don't have forklift cert.

They are dangerous. Heavy and dense as uranium and weird controls. People get killed being near these things all the time.
They are the pit-bull of the warehouse equipment.

Everything is a cup holder with enough duct tape. When you get rolls for the tape, tape it to one of the hand rails and you can make a cup holder. I tried to find a picture of it, but apparently the kikes on jewgle don't want me show the canucks the magic of magic of improvisation.

No you need to recomplete forklift training at every new employer.

Based Toothpicker 3000 series

Imagine not having a telehandler.

Outdoor ones for lumber and shit I think. I don't know why they don't just use skyjacks or whatever, maybe it has a better capacity (telehandlers are pretty light iirc).

Indeed.

>I know it was sarcasm here its one week for get the liscence.
I wasn’t being sarcastic. I hire people who need to drive a forklift as part of the job. I will hire anyone, no forklift experience necessary. We give them a 30 minute training with a test at the end and then have them operate the basic functions. After that it’s time to get to work. There is no license here. I just need someone to work and if they screw up I have documentation that they knew not to drive too fast or whatever.

I meant I was being sarcastic talking about great career opportunities.
I know we are just pawns in the game.

>Weird controls
Why do people lie on the internet? Any 100 iq non mouth breathing individual should have no problem operating a forklift. Go into it with a healthy respect for the dangers and follow the rules and regulations. Shit is no more dangerous than driving. I'd rather be assigned a forklift than a "rider" epj, that shit is dangerous comparatively when a sudden cut of power due to a shitty cable harness will buck you off when it stops dead in its tracks while you continue travelling 15mph into whatever is in front of you. Like everyone has already stated "just stay in the cab", I've only almost once been impaled by a piece of wood following this advice.

Hell
Training might take two hours but forklifting is for life
I run 40 fucking pallets everyday snowflake and they dont show you how to do that in no training video honey.

So you better get back to your gibs and fucking hide under your sheets cuz I aint here to play games

But the forks are trapped between the wheel base? How could you lift a stack of lumber like that? Genuinely curious

Depends on how sketchy your work is.
I worked in a machine shop and they stacked bins filled with steel stock to the roof. Any type of tap or shifting to the shelves would collapse the whole thing and take out most of the shop.
Just tons of metal waiting to fall.

Each lift was a careful test once you started lifting to see if the box was clear or if you were just crushing the wood thinking you were lifting because the backside was caught on something. More than once I had to abort and go get the scissor lift to go and inspect why the box wasn't lifting, then make a correction to try and unfuck a box I couldn't see.

About 5 years after I left they dumped the whole shelving system when the roof had a leak trapping water in the insulation's plastic cover. When the roof finally dropped the water it put enough weight onto a box to upset something and take out most of the raw bar stock section of shelves.

During the weekly safety meetings they told me to stop reporting the unsafe storage situation.
