Many factions continue to work toward their goal of some form of civil war (either physical or legal). They don't care what triggers it; their back end is in the division and wasted attention.
Our glowies are probably still trying to hold back the damn, hoping that nothing happens (or if it does, happens on someone else's shift).
The big thing is... both sides are in a state of constantly waiting for the next shoe to drop; and have probably missed the third option (which I am growing increasingly to believe)... the great quiet.
It's happened before a few times in US history; where everyone gets so fucking mad at everyone else; that we all just decide to shut up for a decade. Kind of a cease fire while everyone cools off.
