Global Hyperinflation General /GHG/ #53

Welcome to Global Hyperinflation General /GHG/ #53
Previous Thread: We are witnessing a planned collapse of the world as we know it. Sure it (((appears))) to be triggered by the Corona Plandemic, or the fake war in Ukraine or one of the million and one fake happenings. Look closer and find out that it is not the case.
The death knell was sounded on Aug 15th 1971.
/GHG/ will be a record of the greatest collapse of the developed world in real time for posterity.

Brace yourself, we are only getting started.

Motivation:

GloboHomo Centralization (Globalization and Homogenization through centralization) and LocaDece Federation (Localism and Decentralization through Federation) are two sides of the same coin, yin and yang, +ve and -ve.
Most of the unvaccinated on Mongolian Basket Weaving forum are interested in being a part of LocaDece. GHG is mostly about discussing, brainstorming, constructing (or moving to) this promised land called LocaDece. Using the collective autism to meme it to reality.
Any suggestions to improve the general (except dumbing it down to resonate with the normal fags) is always welcome.
The aim of this general is not to save everyone but to serve as a platform where the few could discuss the nature of things. The opening posts of this general, should not the shortened except in redundancy cases, in my opinion. The purpose of the opening posts is to serve as a complete compendium of information required and not entice awareness in those who do not have the patience or providence to read lengthy and complex texts.

It will play out slower than you think. I would expect basic law and order, electricity and water to last until about 2025. And rice and beans will still be in the shops, although you'll be spending all your money on them. They can afford to wait us out, a slow but constant and incrementally harder squeeze is hard to prepare for and outlast.

We're already well into double digit inflation. They (((changed))) how they calculate inflation since the 80s, it's much worse now than it's been since the 30s. The coming depression is going to be so bad we'll call it a collapse, it will be much worse than the 30s, since at least back then half of them were farmers or knew farmers.

Pick any product you buy, check a receipt from a few weeks ago compared to now and you'll see they are often going up over 20% in each price hike. They hide it cleverly, shrink the weight and 'only' add 30p, say from £1.50 to £1.80, that's a 20% rise but doesn't look or feel like one since it's still under £2. And this is now happening 3 or 4x a year.

i hate these little kikes like you wouldn't believe

Another spam general thread, wonderful! Probably from the same spam group doing all the other ones

>location
Location is pretty much all that matters in a normal world (pre 1945). Only the hyperbubble that's been created since then allows some illusion of your physical location being irrelevant, with everything from everywhere shipped straight to your town.

The number one thing you can do to better position yourself is to... better position yourself. Remote places with low populations and high proportions of farmers and other primary industries will be the least chaotic. You also want to be somewhere difficult for raiders to navigate through, for example if you settle right on the coast or in a mountain pass you are just asking for pirates and bandits.

The second thing you can do is pick a medieval-tier specialisation that will let you produce a tradeable resource with other people. With globalism, local specialisation has gone so far that most skills that form the foundation of a functioning society won't be present in your area. For example if you can take a bunch of flax seeds, grow them and turn them into clothes, you have something to offer future markets. If you can melt down rusty nails and make tools and weapons then you will be rich in the emergent local economy. If you are already settled on a farm or large estate then you should invest in basic tools and machinery now, to specialise in your chosen product and make it at a reasonable scale and efficiency for your neighbours. You should also advise them to do the same thing in a different specialisation.

>specific farmers (pig, sheep, cattle, horses)
>hunters and fishermen
>cobblers, tailors, weavers, knitters and leatherworkers
>smiths
>nurserymen (hedging plant/orchard/plantation tree suppliers)
>unpowered trades (carpenters, masons, roofers who have the tools and skill to work without electricity)
>doctors
>woodcutters
>guards/fighters
>babysitters/teachers

There will always be a demand for all of these things as long as there are other humans, even if it's just your own family. You should all specialise in something that will be needed, according to your strengths/weaknesses, and have the unpowered equipment and infrastructure ready for it ASAP.

Yes, they have finessed the inflation method, all our countries are well into double digit inflation like it's 1979 again.
Money will have to be removed out of circulation they can't just set the rate at double digits, so expect 20% possible central bank rates and crushing recession.

All our gov have to stop spending too, I doubt they will do that for example dementia Joe and Trudeau both have ridiculous huge budgets that req selling bonds to a central bank and printing more money

Also, you should stockpile the tools and raw materials for your specialistion, and also products that you can't currently make in case you can't find anyone to make them for a while. There may be opportunities for buying tools and machinery very cheap as the depression really gets going.

For example I am currently stockpiling underwear and socks, as well as nails and screws. I'll be on the lookout for a rock-bottom priced wind turbine and electric woodchipper someone will be trying to get rid of as well, so I can provide mulch to my family and neighbourhood to fertilise crops.

>It will play out slower than you think.
.... until it doesnt
> I would expect basic law and order, electricity and water to last until about 2025
How do you think the transition to chaos would play out?
> a slow but constant and incrementally harder squeeze is hard to prepare for and outlast.
But one has to prepare and outlast the squeeze tho. What is life without a good challenge?

Capitalism never ends, it's just the explanation of intelligent human behaviour.

>buy/claim plot of woodland
>buy saws and sawhorses
>spend days producing firewood and replanting trees
>trade for neighbours potatoes
>you don't have to bother with farming, he doesn't have to bother with chopping
Translated;
>capital (land)
>capital (tools)
>labour
>product (firewood)
>market (neighbourhood)
>income (potatoes)
>wealth (now with two experienced specialists the area has a higher availability of fuel and food)

Simple as. The basics of capitalism will apply to anything useful you can do. Good luck

Update from the Northeast. Garlic bulbs are a dollar each and there are no chicken wings.

>How do you think the transition to chaos would play out?
It's not predictable to much resolution, but it will begin whenever the bottom 50% start food rioting. There will be no answer or solution to their hunger.

>but it will begin whenever the bottom 50% start food rioting.
That is already a known variable no?
( Cargill food chain gamification described in the OP pasta.)

There will be GMO foods just before the food-riot threshold is reached no?

Yes, all world governments are massively in debt and the dollar is the hegemonic power world reserve currency. And it will become worthless eventually, as all fiat currencies will. Gold can even become worthless or massively overvalued in theory once we start mining asteroids with gold yields that dwarf caches on Earth.

Do you really think world powers and elite will just sit by idly while everything goes to shit? Do you think it will just be anarchy in the streets? Of course not. The World Economic Forum, the World Bank, they all know that fiat can't last forever. They'll just create some new currency, a new world government, digital currencies, and people will switch overnight.

Mike Mahoney is right about how the system is fucked but unfortunately we will never see the changes we want because we have no power. Also fiat currency drives progress and growth much more powerfully than anything else. It's a bit like commies trying to replace capitalism. It's never going to be a magic solution, and your system will have it's own new disadvantages to balance whatever benefits it brings.

There may be food available but that doesn't mean it will be affordable. We have a population level borne from a hyperbubble.

>once we start mining asteroids with gold yields that dwarf caches on Earth.
sure, and silver yields will dwarf caches on Earth once you become a woman.

> Do you think it will just be anarchy in the streets? Of course not.
No riots? Okay.

This week at the supermarket only one item went up 20%.
Good week.

It's not going to be a hyper-inflation scenario. Hyper-inflation is when governments lose control. It's going to be a situation of governments squeezing everyone tighter and tighter in their efforts to maintain control. Yes, eventually they lose it but that could be hundreds of years away.

>guards/fighters
the only one that interests me. will I really have a place come shtf?

I grew up in a butcher family, so while I haven't used those skills in like three decades, I think I could quickly relearn. Plus skinning, etc, useful for deer and shit besides hogs/cattle.
No one wants that dirty fucking job, it stinks, but fuck I'll do it, it never bothered me.

Smart man. Silver is highly manipulated to a very low artificial price.

yes, but in order for the control to happen that they want, they have to get rid of US guns. They're sure as fuck trying. Have this picrel ready to go anytime someone complains about "muh 2nd Amendment". Shit a lot of liberal people I know that own guns won't give them up. One of the most liberal BLM/whatever ladies I know is a staunch supporter of 2nd A, because she believes that "nazis" are going to try to disarm them. I don't think she realizes that the "nazis" are already trying to disarm her.

Asteroids are only for REE. And that’s so far away it doesn’t matter.

Nice, I have blacksmith skills. Completely useless skill I developed over an entire year, but maybe I’ll get to use it in the future.

you're retarded
you don't understand anything, not a single thing, about kikes
I'm calling you out as a glownigger fed shill
