I doubt it, most rich people don't even have money anymore and are financially tied to their corporations relying on loans to get their money. The only people that have any reasonable sense of control are those that started their own companies; which is why the elite castes usually usurps them out and removes them from their own companies.

The "elites" (actually: the rich) are actively trying to spur all kinds of conflicts:
- Left vs right
- Old vs young
- Men vs women
- Black vs white
- muslim vs christian
But have you ever seen the "elites" spur the conflict "rich vs poor"? Probably not, because that's what they try to avoid at all cost, being perfectly aware that they'd be losing that conflict badly, because the poor would vastly outnumber them.
So basically, they use divide and conquer tactics to devide the poor into small groups that fight each other, so that they do not fight them instead.
