>A 16-year-old transgender boy named Antonio Voe tried to kill himself the same day Greg Abbott ordered that parents of trans kids be investigated for child abuse. He was admitted—but when hospital staff learned he had hormone therapy, they were forced to turn his family in.
>official capacity Uhhhh ohhhh looks he will be getting dismissed from the case
Elijah Wilson
Seems reasonable. He is too young to irreversibly damage his body with hormone treatment.
Hudson Kelly
They should be suing the media for scaring him. All the fear that minorities and LGBT had about Trump? The fear was real but it was created by the media. Same thing here. I don't care to study it but 100% the media exaggerated the effects of the bill.
Xavier Roberts
>abused the child with hormones for god knows how long >child still tries to off himself So much for being a treatment
Xavier Johnson
>Government passes thing that says we can look out for warning signs of impending 40% >40%er walks in 40%ing >Turn her in for mental health help
Shocking. This is truly fascisme
Adam Nguyen
Why did it decide to break the law? Just don't take hormone therapy and you won't get admitted or torn away from family?
Grayson Reed
>they were forced to turn his family in fair enough. as you would with any other case of probably child abuse
Jonathan Clark
based. his(?) family enabled his(?) extreme mental illness, contributed to his suicidal ideation
Parker Perry
>his mood and anxiety improved, and he looked forward to a brighter future >immediately "tries to kill himself" (= be a fucking drama queer) over hearing some possible bad news yea sure
Evan Gutierrez
You can’t own a gun till you’re 18 so why should you mutilate your body before that?
Jayden Sanchez
Similar sense you often cant get tattooed until 18 same reasoning
Austin Powell
they saved the boy's life and that's based.
Jose Richardson
You can sue state agents in their official capacity for injunctive and declaratory relief. Eleventh Amendment/sovereign immunity issues only arise if you seek money damages. t. Lawyer
Parker Torres
Discharge home with a rope, a razor blade and a handle of vodka with a tape recording playing "YWNBAW" on constant repeat.
Bonus thought: suicide is so simple to complete. Anyone who "survives" was obviously doing it for attention (exception are jumpers)
Cameron Walker
was that not the intention? brainwashing and force-feeding hormones to the child resulted in a suicide attempt. the family was consequently reported for child abuse. what's the problem?
Evan Anderson
Back in the day they just executed freaks like this.
Evan Perez
parents should be ”dealt with”.
Jaxon Clark
it's a shame she didn't succeed and it's a shame the parents won't be prosecuted and imprisoned as they should be
Ryder Ortiz
What if they tried to overdose on medication though? I feel like family and attempt with that method is pretty easy to do if you don't know the lethal dose. Going off of what the bottle tells you is it a good gauge because that's an estimate of what they think is a good dose. Advil for example recommends you only take like two or three every six hours but I regularly take four multiple times a day and have had zero adverse effects. I've heard of some people taking six in one sitting
