Is Light A Particle or Wave?

AHHHHHHHHH WHICH IS IT!?!? I NEED TO KNOW!?!

IT CAN'T BE BOTH THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! WHAT ARE THE POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS OF THIS.

>WHAT ARE THE POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS OF THIS.
We live in a simulation.
You cannot get out because what would that "layer" be made of?
More particles?
Memes are the only thing.

It just is.

It's whatever it wants to be you bigot

Light is like the derivative of the electric and magnetic field. When you move a charged particle you cause a displacement of the electric field which emanates outward at the speed of light. At some point it will collapse back into movement of some other particle. It is not really a wave or particle but an energy transport through disruption of fields.

THEN WHY CAN WE DETECT A PHOTON? EXPLAIN NOW! OR WE NEED TO DEFUND "PHYSICS" FOREVER!

>Bouncing photons off of other photons causes the photons to land differently
>That means we're in a multiverse simulation and that trannies are hecking cute and valid

>Is Light A Particle or Wave?
its a quantum particle. the mathematical function which determines its position when measured acts as a wave

You can't detect a photon because it's operating in the "derivative plane", it has to be reconstituted back by affecting some secondary particle/molecule, the behavior of the molecule is the detector to determine whether a photon has interacted. It isn't physically possible to detect the passage of a photon through a space because it must collapse on some atom first to be sensed.

>making the wave-particle dichotomy as if it has to be one or the other.
May it is the nature of reality? Like study light with your eyes and see how it behaves, and then see what experiments say about light's behavior. Popsci is garbage.

God bless them but they really just believe some of this shit

A wave. It's all waves. Even the "particles" are just bundled waves, slowly unwinding in gravity and the fabric of time.
Go in peace.

A PHOTON TRAVELS IN A STRAIGHT LINE! STOP GASLIGHTING ME!

light is a particle
color is a wave
you are welcome

Not when gravity has a say in the matter

what if its a wave of particles?

Particles and waves are macroscopic concepts that intuitively make sens to human minds raised in a world with things like discrete objects and liquids to interact with. Things outside those contexts do not necessarily match human intuitions about how things ought to work. Light behaves rather like a wave in some situations and rather like a particle in others, but neither is an exact analogy. It's more that it behaves continuously in situations where the quantum fields making up the light are not reconfigured into other kinds of fields (as, e.g. in reflection or diffraction), and discretely when they are (as in the photoelectric effect).

>A PHOTON TRAVELS IN A STRAIGHT LINE!
waves cannot travel in a straight line?

Retard, 1 photon is fired at a time. There's wave like interference until it's observed. What the fuck do they even teach in American highschools?

This, it's that easy. You're making it hard on yourself, OP. Like is OP a nigger, or is OP a faggot?
Well he just is. He's a niggerfaggot.

depends on how you look at it

the wave state, or superposition is simply the multi-verse interacting with itself until you observe and choose which branch of the probability tree to travel down. its still a particle at all times.

Joe Biden here. Let`s have sex Boris. Then a few nigger tranny whores whith General Milley and a night of sniffing coke off of sweet Jen`s ass with Hunter.

its a partical wave

The photon is physically difficult to interpret in the mind. It begins at a point A and it ends at a point B as the transmission of energy, intuitively then it must move in a straight line. It is however a field disruption through space that emanates from a point and then collapses at another point, it is not really moving as an object in a straight line. Imagine for instance the electric field of a stationary charged particle, it's field lines extend to infinity. When you move the particle the field lines also have to move bending with the particle and this change in field lines expands outwards away from the particle as a field ripple to infinity until it reaches another particle and manipulates some other particle by a specific quantity of energy. Keep in mind the universe is full of particles and the field lines of all particles are all bound together and interacting.

Light is a perturbation of the aether.

Light is Particle in a wave FIELD.

Then it's a wave, just like the ocean wave is made of H2O. Only the molecules show up as the intensity of the tide increases.

"Scientists" Should be embarrassed! Imagine me thinking I made a huge discovery saying a tide is both a particle and a wave. Billions wasted on nonsense!

its always a single particle. the spread-out wave function is the particle in all adjacent universes touching our universe until your observation rsndomly entangles you with one of them and then you travel forward into that universe or frame. also its probably not actually random but things are so fast and tiny that we cant account for all the sequential events that lead to the "collapse" of the wave.

what do you mean by observed?

That's what geodesies are about, when space is distorted it acts as a weird volumetric distortion of tensors that give a refraction effect. How does it differ from the optical phenomenon? Does it act as a grating?

a wave is a collection of oscillating particles. even when a single particle is displaying wave properties, its simply multiple copies of the same particle in immediately adjacent universes, or frames if you will.

He means when senpai notices the photon, the photon blushes and acts tsundere

This
It's measured and the method (((they))) use to measure (aka observe) it simple changes where it lands
We simply don't have a valid (and heckin cute) method to really observe it without interfering with its direction
Building a whole branch of theoretical physics on this is plain retarded, but it's the (current year) after all

Please begin remedial study of RS 1 and RS2 immediately.
