Dunno, not in the trades myself (techbro) but nearly all of my friends are. Carpentry, tilework, electrician, HVAC, masonry, plumbing - these kinds places are ALWAYS looking for people. And you don't need any experience. In many cases they don't WANT you to have experience so they can train you "their way".
I guarantee you if you went knocking on a few tradesmen's doors starting at 9 AM tomorrow you'd have a job by noon.
