You identified the problem right there. The left-right spectrum isn't ideological in nature. Any ideological position you can find on the left, change the context a bit and you can find the same thing on the right.
Examples:

>guns
>anything procedural like expanding the SC or banning filibusters
The difference between left and right is ethnic, not ideological. Left is whatever favors Jewish interests at the expense of white Europeans, Right is whatever favors white European interests at the expense of Jews.
