BUY BRITISH TIN Cornish Metals and the UK mining revival
The rehabilitation of Cornwall’s ancient tin mining industry moved one step closer last week when Cornish Metals Inc (AIM:CUSN, TSX-V:CUSN, OTC:SBWFF) completed a £40.5mln share issue.
The money raised will be used to pump water out of the underground shafts and tunnels of the South Crofty mine, one of Cornwall’s most prominent icons from the industrial age, and an operation which was worked continuously for 400 years prior to its eventual closure in 1998.
>Sir Cliff Richard's sex offence anonymity plea to Parliament >Sir Cliff Richard has made an impassioned plea to MPs and peers to grant anonymity for sexual offences suspects before they are charged. At a meeting in the House of Lords, he spoke of "how desperate it is to be accused of something you never did". And he urged politicians to back a change in the law to protect people who are wrongly accused. Police raided the singer's home in 2014 as part of an investigation into a sex assault claim. He was never arrested. He told the meeting how the media coverage of the allegations had "nearly destroyed" him and that he would never fully get over it. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61737406 The media did a number on Sir Cliff.
My take was the police and BBC appeared to be so clearly acting out line, it just seemed to be a setup to bring in protections for actual high profile nonces.

>Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove has vowed to end the "scourge" of unoccupied second homes, as part of government plans to boost housing. >Mr Gove said a new bill making it easier to charge higher council tax on empty properties in England would "bring life back" to communities. >He also said new powers to force landlords to rent out empty shops would regenerate urban areas. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61737646
I think he is bang on. 'Victims' get anonymity but the defendant gets the sticky mud. I count myself lucky my ex never made sex abuse allegations, she had previously accused 2 uncles, her dad and her stepdad. That shit sticks.
