Nah, Ukraine is already crippled. I do agree they need to seize the Odessa and Kharkov to make it final. But that’s it. They can leave the remnant and it will become Afghanistan of Europe (pre-Taliban Afghanistan). Defeat in this war will break their national psyche, but even that is irrelevant. I mean, shills shill and people get excited and there’s all the drama, but this war was over in the first few weeks. Ukrainians could’ve made it interesting by inflicting major defeat on Russian forces. That would level the playing ground a bit, maybe force Russians to mobilize, we would see an escalation.
They failed to do that, Russians adapted and switched to boring tactics and crawling operational pace, and now you’re gonna see two or three more months of grind followed by a breakout which will conclude the war. Ukrainians are rapidly losing the ability to do anything but defend and get buried under firepower while doing so.
