don't get trapped into paths of specific authors and books, you can really find yourself locked out when you feel obligated to finish shitty books that might be bullshit or, even worse, might feed into a bias you have. strip yourself of your biases as quickly as possible, no one is on your side and no group represents you. take those logic classes, data structures and algorithms, train your mind. it's not as bad or as hard as it sounds, you can 100% do it and your capacity to comprehend will increase so dramatically you'll feel as though you've been reborn. it's worth the time, don't neglect it.
