Yes. It's harsh, but it's accurate...
1. Problem comes up years ago of gender disphoria and people who really believe they were born in the "wrong body".
2. A great number of these people commit suicide as a result of not being able to fit in; both in their own body and the real world.
3. In order to slow down the suicides; pressure is put on society to "accept them"; which generally translated to "I know, but please don't call them out about it to their face".
4. Eventually, this is institutionalized; where it is now nearly illegal to even disagree with their fantasy of being in the wrong body.
So now, you have children as hostages. The entire world must deny reality, under force of law; in order to prevent a limited number of mentally ill people from choosing suicide. Meanwhile, the consequences of forcing the entire society into professing a lie as truth have translated to a complete mistrust in authority.
