the problem with water-powered cars is that it is more efficient just to directly power the car with the battery + electric motor, than to use it to generate the H2 and combusting it. In both cases, the batter needs to be recharged after so many miles.

there is no such thing as a water powered car, merely cars that run through water. Usually they use Aluminium as fuel.
It is not at all effective.
