You're not born that way. You said it yourself you knew by age 10. So probably early childhood experiences caused it. Maybe you got sexually abused in some way. Maybe you caught parasites. Maybe you had mixed-up views about gender roles. Maybe you spent too much time around girls/women. Maybe your mother dominated over your father which caused you to be unattracted to women. Maybe you are psychologically craving intimacy with other males due to a lack of it in childhood. Maybe you got given medication as a child which effected your hormones or brain. Maybe you were bullied by boys as a child which made you feel inferior to other boys and more like a girl. Or who knows what else? Maybe even a combination of many factors.
It has to be environmental or else identical twins would so often be one gay and the other straight.

Humans are animals first and foremost. It is our pride and nativity that has us thinking we can't have the same inherent flaws or traits that could effect any other similar species. The debate really should be whether or not homosexuality is seen as a flaw. Dogs don't have any issue continuing their species, neither do some mice and a few apes that exhibit homosexuality in the wild from time to time and being gay doesn't effect your physiology so you're more than capable physically of anything anyone straight is capable of.
