It's literally feeding their economy, dumbass. Their oil and gas revenues are at record highs. The only way to make them lose is to actually remove the demand for oil and gas, especially in Europe, India, and China. The only way to do that is more nuclear power plants.

This is what people mean when they refer to Russian Nazi treachery. Putting new that he was going to invade Ukraine, that's why he started cutting back on oil supplies to Europe so Europe couldn't stock up and mitigate some of the damage that Moscow deliberately intended to do to the oil market. And yes the sabotage did cause oil shocks to ripple through Western economies but that's only because we were treating Russia like it was not a bad actor. Kudos to the West for reengaging with Iran, Venezuela, OPEC+, etc. Now Russia is forced to sell oil to India and China for 50% discount.
