Got some interesting info at work today, won’t go into details about my work of course. But first; due to covid there’s about a 2 yr backlog on all DOJ cases. Second, Merrick Garland has refused to greenlight any new prosecutions.
Apart from the obvious larger cases this has effected, it answered a huge number of questions I’ve had in my small corner of the world, and to a certain extent renewed some faith I had lost. Normally these things take a certain amount of time to get moving, nothing has been moving, but at least I know why now, and it sounds like the dam is about to burst.
There’s about a 2 yr backlog at the DOJ

Is the issue at the DOJ or with the ability of the court system to take them? I'd imagine the issue is with the courts being massively backed up from shutting down
Enlighten us OP
The reasons for not greenlighting any new prosecutions I will somewhat speculate on. Politically speaking of course.
If you don’t actually prosecute crime, you can say that crime doesn’t exist, and therefor you did a good job. Crime is down by all metrics.
Then when the opposing political crime organization resumes power and starts to go after crime, they can say “wow! Look how much crime has shot up!”
It’s an old trick and people just aren't going to fall for it. You’d have to be college educated to fall for something so stupid these days.
In my opinion, shit is about to go down, probably before any midterms, the bureaucracy is getting restless.
ineffective faggots are slightly more ineffective than usual. what is tickling your prick about this exactly?
>due to covid there’s about a 2 yr backlog on all DOJ cases.
ever think it's not "due to covid" and that was just an excuse?
1. Backlog from covid
2. DOJ unwilling to greenlight all but the most political of showcases.
They’re just cherry picking cases for bipartisan reasons to put on TV, to control the narrative as always. But I can tell you that a lot of no names are fed the fuck up and are going to start a big push.
These were the people who went to the office every day when everyone else stayed home.
>shit is about to go down
Can you clarify what you mean by that
Just more useless republicans winning seats, or actual shit going down
Well fucking duh, obviously covid was a scam, I’m not going to write a treatise on the subject just to preface for context.
>just to preface for context.
I think it's an important distinction, otherwise you'll be tied to this "backlog due to covid" line 3 years from now
I hate the feds so very much.
This wont amount to any meaningful change. Nothing ever happens. People dont have the balls anymore to take action.
Midterms are just glitter.
It’s obviously going to be a blowout, but that’s just the surface, there’s a civil servant war brewing.
anyone remember that one part of the movie "Live Free or Die Hard" where the terrorists trigger the federal governments anthrax alarms, to get them all out of the buildings and waste their time?
> there’s a civil servant war brewing
What would that look like to folks who are not privy to the inside dealings of the DOJ?
What were they doing up in Newfound Land the other day?
if you don't get it, playing by their terms is only going to result in tacit normalization of dereliction
in the same sort of vein as how they did the jail criminal releases
I don’t have any inside info of the DOJ.
And I don’t expect this to come from within the DOJ. It will be imperceptible to the public, basically all the heretofore finks who have some semblance of duty and who have been put through a world of shit will finally say “I’d rather not”
The mechanisms in which they can pursue this are many, as previously these were instituted for the ruling machine, but they can be used against it as well.
I doubt there will be many whistleblowers unfortunately, or any fireworks, that’s not how these people work. The good ones, the red-tape whisperers know how to better solve problems.
Yes the fire rises. Prodouctive people no longer want to support lazy people.
Probably thanking them for sheltering all the planes after 9/11.
Poor bastards. I cant imagine what it's like to be surrounded by newfies....
Military coup right now
Bro, Inwork for the federal government, a two year backlog with take 50 years to catch up on.
