When does DQ XI get good? I'm about 2 hours in and so uninvested that I restarted in 2D mode, which suits the boring combat and atrocious dialogue better. I've heard nothing but good things about this game, but it seems intentionally generic.

Nier Automana is suppose to be really good. You'll need to play it through a few times as you repeat the game from different character perspectives.
Dragon Quest is pretty good too, but its more PG. I advise to level up early. Try to get to level 20 before getting Jade into your party. I love her so much bro.

i grew up with physical media on ps2, wii, ds etc. never looked back since the moment i got steam in 2010 and didn't need a disc drive anymore. discs need to keep being changed, take up space, get scratched and break, the premium you pay for downloads is worth not having to deal with any of that shit plus cd keys exist
