Over the past 35 years, Chinese 19-year-old males have increased their average height by 8 centimeters, the largest increase among 200 countries and regions, and have risen from 150th to 65th in the average height rankings. Meanwhile, Chinese 19-year-old females have increased their average height by 6 cm, the third largest increase in the world.
