Is Law School Worth it Any Forums

Anybody can be their own lawyer. How is this even a profession?

Kek
>those poor lawyers
Said no one ever

They also leave with a higher earning potential and now apparently a penchant for being jewish.

Realistically, it's something for rich people, Jews, or Jewish sycophants. You can't get into a good law firm without being a rich boy, Jew, and/or Freemason.

Only chance you'd have of doing good is if you joined that white nationalist lawyer group run associated with NJP.

US law is built entirely on bringing up previous cases of some faggots.

I'm a 2L, I'm thinking about going into tax law litigation because I hate the IRS. It's also one of the higher paying fields generally as well.

You need to be a member of the bar to represent another person and if you represent yourself you are going to get slaughtered

You'd be surprised, many struggle

>138k
How? I was "only" 15k in debt when I graduated. How bad with money do you have to be?

Law schools are like 50k a year in the US. Also don't know about leaf law but in the U.S. the workload makes it impossible to work full time usually as well.

>the workload makes it impossible to work full time usually as well
Most people I know would live with their parents, not work at all (or barely) and take less classes than the recommendations.
Meanwhile, I would work 50+ hours a week and have a uni workload estimated at around 45 hours.

>Most people I know would live with their parents
Unless you live next to a law school that isn't really possible here. Like 99% of all students have to move to whatever school takes them.

What's the estimated average weekly workload?

Usually 50-60 hours, but you are in class all day. You'd have to work nights and weekends at some wagie job but you'd be well behind your peers as the law school curve in the US is brutal. So many don't bother.

lawfag here

it's worth it if you want to make money.
it's not worth it if you have dignity and self-respect. you're literally selling your soul to the devil

I don't get this argument. I'm in law school later in life (early 30s) and literally every job I've ever had felt like I was selling my soul and getting treated like fucking shit for scraps. Including military service and a federal job. I could be wrong but I feel like saying shit like this is a first world complaint. I know doctors who say the same shit too. You can be miserable working at Home Depot too, doesn't mean it's the better alternative.

Elaborate, can't you just reject sketchy representations?

student loan forgiveness is such a stupid act of political suicide
the feral niggers that make up their voting base see anyone with a job as the rich 1% that's just getting another kickback
the retards that are still in debt somehow aren't making any use out of that 10k either

>I'm in law school later in life (early 30s) and literally every job I've ever had felt like I was selling my soul and getting treated like fucking shit for scraps.

You're not cheating anyone. Lawfags are literally taught to cheat and lie and manipulate through sophistry. As my pretty famous conlaw professor said "the easiest part of the Bar exam is the ethics part"

If you want to make money you have to get into big law, mostly doing corporate, being a slave to some old Boomer who can't open a PDF.
Your clients are literal pedophile jews. That's why people get paid a lot.

You wait all this time thinking - at least I'll make partner some day - and by that time you become part of the system. Destroying people's lives becomes a habit. Trust me. A toilet cleaner has more honor than a lawyer.

No schooling besides engineering or programming is worth it anymore. All biological sciences are now firmly in "WAHMEN (and niggers) ONLY SWEETY" territory
>be me
>work at college lab
>then work at real lab
>then work at a research lab
>lead author of a paper
>dealing with women and minorities the entire time, several fucking years
>get fed up, quit, and work on a farm
I make way more money on the farm and only deal with other White men all day. It's cash money. I hate my life, I hate what this nation has become, repeal the 19th amendment women are property

Not if you work in Biglaw, you start as a peon and shit rolls downhill. Even as a partner you would never say no to more work because it affects your bottom line. These firms will preach diversity and feelgood shit all day while they make their bread and butter defending vile fucking companies and politicians.

None of the attorneys I actually know/have worked with do sketchy Better Call Saul shit. Makes me skeptical when I hear stuff like this. Risk of disbarment isn't worth it. The model rules are pretty straight forward.

If you mean sophistry as far as advocating the best argument for a client, even if the argument sucks, I wouldn't consider that to be lying.

So like that movie devil's advocate basically lol

>You'd be surprised, many struggle
Really then why go into so much debt?

>Really then why go into so much debt?
I assume idealism and wishful thinking like other graduate students.

I suppose. The plaintiffs are often just money-hungry parasites in their own right. $190k associate job sounds real good though until you realize you're working 70 hours per week and have a $200k school bill to pay off.

It’s not as intense as people say, if you’re smart. Scan the cases, highlight the holding, answer the questions if you’re called on.
You’re one of those guys that hangs at the library with 12 people to “study” aren’t you? I did about 2 hours of reading a night, studied for final exams for no more than 8 hours each, worked a flex 20hr week, and was responsible for the kids everyday after school while the wife worked a bullshit job. Best time of my life. If you’re intelligent, law school is a cake walk.
Bullshit. You don’t have to work for a firm, or even be a lawyer. A JD in America is a magic card into the upper echelons of almost any industry.

>If you mean sophistry as far as advocating the best argument for a client, even if the argument sucks, I wouldn't consider that to be lying.

it's not "just an argument". it seems simple enough - there's all this case law supporting your claim or whatever.

but ultimately your client is a some rich jew pedophile who most likely did some terrible shit. on the opposing side is some fucker who got harmed by a rich jew pedophile. it never sat right with me. if you can get around that feeling of disgust then it's definitely smooth sailing.

keep in mind, lawfags are one of the most medicated and depressed professions in the US. my theory (which is based on my experience) is that one has to sell his soul literally daily. no job is worth that.

>Risk of disbarment isn't worth it.
i'm not talking about defrauding your clients or shit like that. that's obviously wrong. i'm talking about the a more primordial injustice of the profession. natural law type shit. you wouldn't understand.

This basically. And idk if it's the case anymore but a lot of schools would place GPA requirements on scholarships. You figure you can meet the requirement easily based on your experience in undergrad, but the 1L curve is engineered to yank away those scholarships.

Fuck lawyers may they all an hero from debt
