As a teacher almost all kids I've seen identified with autism have severely crazy home lives.

I've seen about 1 case where I believe the kid had true autism and the family was set on overcoming with it (and he made tons of progress over the years).

Everything else just seemed like a ton of other issues.

Autism is real but like adhd it has a huge amount of inflation to account for bad parenting.

I bet he thinks that depression is an act too.
