Russia has no desire to reforge the Warsaw group. But the Ukraine remains its strategic "back yard".

To me it's simple - NATO should withdraw from the idea of incorporating Ukraine.
That would relieve a lot of the tension.

Those things have both been said by Russia in the last few months. The Alaska thing is something they actually said, infact, specifically they said Russia demands 'reparations'. As for nuke threats, well every day Putin is threatening to nuke the West.
