Well if OP is true, it could mean that a secret breeding and cloning program has created an armies of individuals that all look the same; so in theory, any high level individual, like politicians, celebrities, or those from the "elite" bloodlines, that you see who was born after Dolly was created, stand to have a very good chance of being both a clone and genetically modified.
For what purpose, who know, but if I was found to be guilty of such high crimes that would warrant the death penalty, I would probably want someone else that looks like me but isn't me to take that place instead.

Seems more like they’re birthing a new you as opposed to some machine that just churns out pre-made clones your age, which means there will always be some age difference noticeable (a as in my clone will be 27 years younger than me, can’t really steal my identity or replace me or anything). I do foresee cloning of children though for the elite, so there will be multiple copies to take over in case one dies, which would be freaky.

Will be very interesting to observe the difference between nature/nurture, I already know twins who are completely identical but have completely different personalities. I could see it happening then getting me-too’d once society finds out, they’ll get sad that some kid was cloned as a backup, plus not too many countries have monarchies where this would be especially handy.

Also, I am assuming that many clones will be used for things like sex trafficking and assassinations, just purely because they aren't in the system or have any ties to the surface world.
Mainly they would be created with their core purpose being that they make the perfect human experimentation subject (again, no ties to the outside surface world; if they die, no one knew they ever really existed), and if they grow up with no major issues as kids, then they get an upbringing in whatever school of espionage or illegal shit that the glowniggers and "elites" will need in future. Probably also make great guinea pigs for mind control implants and cybernetics research and all the other shit they can experiment on in the general public, being that they all would be genetically similar and have very similar upbringings.
