ok chang

Bro, maglev's been around since the late 1800's to early 1900's

>suspension monorail.

Great idea Chang, so if the magnets fail and the electricity goes out the train falls off the rail? They put the mag rail on the bottom for a reason.

>implying china isn't actively killing it's own people

>transportation larger than a car is bad.

So it'll run near empty for its life span or get in an accident in 3 months and swept under the rug?

So much complexity. Must be a pain to maintain.

It's not bad it's just not this amazing incredible thing that people seem to make it out to be

Rentoid detected.

Ok Chang.

This. And I fucking hate these shitty clickbait article titles. How the fuck is a suspension style monorail that uses magnetic levitation a "breakthrough" of any significance? It's just combining two technologies that have been around for decades, that were not combined until now for very good reason. It's like the transportation equivalent of socks and sandals, except this will likely just result in some dead Chinks...

...wait a minute, actually this project is genius. Carry on comrades!

The costs of maglav was always the reason for failure, they just aren't cost effective, and they never will be. Magnets aren't cheap to make, electromagnets aren't cheap to make or power.
Maglev was always a pipe dream.

>maglev
>monorail
they can see our previous attempts at greatness, copy them, and then be confused when it turns out to be a pile of junk

Some of these go faster than a Lamborghini... That's kinda cool.
Once they build a vacuum tunnel in the ocean it'll literally be 2 hour travel from US to Europe.
