IMO, drug addiction is not a real thing, it is just an excuse.
You are a man who cannot find a job, cannot find a girlfriend, cannot go to college. People can look at you and think: "YOU ARE A WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT, WHY AREN'T YOU DOING ANYTHING. THERE IS NO EXCUSE!"
But if then the guy decides to use drugs. Now it is the drugs fault. Drug addicted: "I..its not as if I'm a piece of shit, it is all the drugs fault, not my fault!"
Just kicked alcoholism. Easy. Kicked weed, pills, cigarettes all done in early teens.
Addiction is a meme.
Ryder Ross
I do drugs once in a while when in a party because its fun but actual addicts are mentally ill and need help.
Tyler Hill
Right on. Slide thread, though.
Ethan Clark
that’s always been my thinking. i’ve done a questionable amount of inadvisable drugs, but i never had to. i drink like a fish, but not drinking isn’t hard. either i’m blessed/hardcore/lucky/whatevs or the whole addiction thing is bullshit. i’m thinking it’s the latter.
Ryder Barnes
Pretty much, it’s a choice, but in order for the state to get its way it can’t admit that
Cameron Cox
It all comes down to willpower. That’s what addictive personality means, just someone with low willpower
Evan Bell
This is a genetic rant. And a boomer take. It's as if you went out of your way to type the most irrelevant thing that came to your mind.
Maybe for you. Quitting benzos was a fucking nightmare and quitting alcohol is proving to be even harder.
That being said, kicking opiates was easy af. Guess I am more of a GABA kind of guy
Jose Brown
it’s not even willpower. it’s just don’t do stupid shit. if you get caught up, stop for a while until you get your shit sorted. the idea that once you go too far you’re enslaved forever and have to constantly worry about it is complete and utter penguin shit.
Justin Cooper
I have always known this. Addiction isn't real just weak minds
Leo Price
Can confirm. I used to shoot up drugs, addiction is gake and fay.
Jack White
for fuck’s sake. you chowed too much of the ones that can actually kill when you stop. so, stop slowly. it ain’t all that difficult.
Jonathan Murphy
you have to have some willpower to stop doing destructive things once the ball's rolling.
Tyler Butler
>It all comes down to willpower Sure, once your cleaned up. Lots of substances out there physically grab a hold. Alcohol being one of them. Quitting liquor cold turkey runs a very high risk of heart attack. I'm booze free for 18 months now and you are right, its willpower; but after your clean. I had DT's this go around quitting. Enough was enough. After trying everything, it was DT's and a hospital visit. Have had no serious want to drink since. Only get those "urges" that are getting more and more easier to swat away.
Luke Carter
now kick porn
Jonathan Scott
grow some fucking balls you mincing faggot. if you went too far, back the fuck up. then conduct yourself reasonably. or just die. that might be best.
Parker Lopez
go chug more balls you faux-christian faggot.
Camden Scott
> physically grab a hold Yeah like Icecream And alcohol detox being dangerous if for people who are dinking a few bottles of vodka day day for years
Jacob Hughes
I am without a doubt addicted to weed and chewing tobacco. I farm wheat though, so it isn't like I have a shit ton to do most of the time. I'd prefer to kick both the habits, since they're definitely detrimental, but they aren't ruining my life.
Luke Stewart
the freer your will, the stronger.
Xavier Moore
>it is just an excuse so is autism
Gavin Morgan
Drug addiction isn't real because if you can't quit whenever you want you're just a weak pussy >t. professional drug user for 15 years
Tyler Richardson
>Get systematically pushed out of the system since 1st grade >Durr you're incompetent Back to the favela with you nigger
Brayden Kelly
you have to exert will over yourself to pull out of it from a dead stop. Unfortunately, lots of people use drugs because they want to destroy themselves, but this is cowardly. Mind you, I dont resent them for being cowardly, particularly people whose homes are approaching a black hole, and those who are lost (weak people get lost easily). It's very tragic, in a society that's completely foregone "truthfulness", where there's no spiritual cohesion - people rollick back and forth between recklessness, and cowardice, with no balance. Talk about a miserable pendulum.
