I worked in Germany along side polish people. Here is what was happening: most workplaces in Germany are merit based. The better you do, the faster they promote and more they pay you. Old Germans 45 - 60+ years old, that had the original real german work ethic, started passing down their work style to the best workers around.Young Germans are not interested in the workforce, but young polish men are. Now you can say a lot of shit about polish people : drunks, agressive, assholes, racists etc. But you CAN'T say they are not hardworking. I've seen polish people start a day downing a bottle of vodka and going to work for 8 hours and doing a great job during that time. Now I left Germany around 2018 and in my last year I noticed more and more SUPER QUALIFIED polish workers disappearing. I would ask "Where is Piotre? I haven't seen him for 3 days at work." Answer would always be: "He moves back to Poland working a similar job payed almost as much as he made here". This was an accelerating trend.
