Can you be forced to give your DNA for non-criminal matters in your country?
I was nailing my neighbour a few years ago, she moved away, later her and her husband broke up because ‘their’ kid didn’t look like him and he took a DNA test. It turned out he wasn’t the dad. They divorced. She sued me for paternity. Went to court to mandate a test. Now I have to give her 12% of everything I earn for the next ten years. My relationship broke down too cos my fiancé found out I was cheating on her.
The fact that the legal system can just force you to give your DNA and you have no avenue or recompense to protest seems fucking disgraceful. I know paternity tests are completely illegal in France, so it’s probably just my gay country that does this?
