Yes they were. I am aware of that, and it worked well for the past decade. However a lot of the college Marxist types have not transitioned into Conservatives as used to happen. We are a decade on and now people on both sides are more extreme than before. An economic collapse would likely result in a newer, more violent Occupy type movement.
