Have you noticed that every major Youtuber streams from a room that looks just like pic related, that is a blindingly bright hospital-like room with white walls and a few posters and action figures on display for “decoration” and any furniture present is usually the kind of minimalist cheap plastic stuff you find at Ikea or Walmart? I don’t have many friends so I’m a bit out of touch with what’s “in” right now, but tell me millenials and zoomers, is this what’s considered “desirable” and “trendy” these days? I live in a one hundred year old tudor house with Victorian rugs and wallpaper and regal curtains and antique furniture, and I love it, I feel like it has a life to it, character, and I feel inspired and comfortable within it. I couldn’t imagine living in an all-white plastic pod. Is this what young people have to look forward to? Are these youtubers doing propaganda or is this actually, unironically how things are now?
