they keep ditching fronts to keep the eastern territories alive, it's literally only been two weeks since they dumped kharkhiv, and four weeks since they dumped kyiv. having to constantly give up what were expected to be massive advances just to advance a few km per day weeks later is not a good trade in the long run for russia. if they keep losing resources at the rate they've been wasting them, even donbass will be in threat of falling apart to ukraine

War has moved past the era of barging into the enemy regents office and forcing him to sign a peace treaty. I think europe is handling it pretty alright so far, escalating slowly and cutting russia off from one thing at a time. Best we can do is volunteers and weapons, I hope europe gets a boost to its domestic arms industry after this.

It was pretty obvious that severodonetsk wasn't going to make it without reinforcements, and that's basically what happened. The best they can really hope for is to bleed the russians while they cede ground to avoid being routed.
