I had door dash deliver a pizza to me when I was in a hospital. The stupid indian driver parked in the parking garage on the otherside of the hospital and made me come out and get it. I had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair by a nurse with a fucking IV attached. I wish I could take back that 5 dollar tip.

Grub hubs tipping system is completely broken, you are expected to tip WHEN you order, which screws over the whole process.
Drivers won’t pick up your food if the price looks too low to have included tip, you can’t tip extra for great service, drivers are super entitled, grub hub will go bankrupt.

I ordered pizza from grubhub during the beginning of the pandemic, on TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS I had my order fucked up.

The first time was when they delivered the pizza VERICALLY so all the cheese and toppings fell to the side.
The second time, the order showed as being picked up, the line indicated the driver was at my house and the food was delivered even though he never stopped. I called him and he said YEA MANG THEY RESTUARANT DIDNT DO YOUR ORDER RIGHT SO I DIDNT PICK IT UP U GOTTA CALL THEM
so now it took another hour to get a pizza i ordered 2 hours earlier.

Unless you have never had pizza delivered you are just afraid of change

26% ?? I don’t use food delivery services because I’m not fucking lazy and I also cook most of my food. But is this standard for delivery? Because I noticed that 20% is now the minimum tipping recommendation when a few years ago it was the max. Since when is there inflation on tipping percentage? 20% of inflated food prices is still a larger tip than 20% on food prices a few years ago. I’m pretty sure they just don’t want to raise the $3/hr (or whatever it is) pre-tip server wage and instead pass it along to the patrons already paying more for higher food prices. Fuck this shit, I’m not giving a goddamn server 1/4 or more of my bill. I’ll cook my own food. Also I don’t think $1/drink is now unacceptable cause inflation i don’t care how much the drink costs. You don’t deserve a dollar for removing a bottle cap anyways. I got called an “asshole who doesn’t tip” for tipping $1 per drink at the bar last week. Fuck off, I’m just not gonna tip.
