Switzerland requires a permit to purchase weapons. To get that permit, you need a criminal background check. Foreigners aren't allowed to purchase weapons unless a citizen vouches for you on paper. Again, you need background checks/paperwork/verification.
There is less than one gun per 2 people in the country.
It's illegal to transfer/sell weapons person to person without registering/tracking it on paper by both parties for 10 years.
