You won't believe the power of todays advertisment

You won't believe the power of todays advertisment,

I have a masters degree in Economics and I've worked in Scandinavis and Germans advertisment & PR firms and I've also sat on the board of a $100m tech company.

Association theory. That's a word every billionaire knows nowadays. Im gonna make this as brief as possible

Basically: we have realized that people value COMMON and KNOWN things more than anything else. Our brains hold common and usual things on a higher level than new or weird things, because in the past everything that we saw on a daily basis wasnt really a threat to us, because if it had been a threat and a rare occurence, like a bear, we would've died.

90% of the people will pick coca cola instead of "Mike Root Beer Companys Great Cola Drink". 90% of the people will buy bitcoin rather than etheruem. You see where this is going

THE REAL POINT:
So, we realized that nothing matters other than the prevalence of a certain thing, and if 2 things were tied together: like a certain song playing every day on the radio and then appearing in iPhones advertisiment the effect would follow through onto the new subjcet.

In the past 5 years the supertonic note note of music, 2nd note of the keyboard, the note D in C major, was found to be the most "memorable" cadence in music, so everyone started hiring producers to use that harmony and then associate those same songs and melodies with advertisiments or even political ideologies

The Weeknd uses the 2nd note in always every one of his current hit songs and Taylor Swif, Ariana Grande t & Dua Lipa also use that note a LOT. You saw the artists preventing Trump from playing his songs? Those were artists that held songs with great assossiation percentages

It works for colors too. RED = EVIL, BLUE = GOOD dont ya think? Why do you think that? Avengers? Gangs? Yeah right, then you vote for democrat. And these things work on you too, because you'll go shopping and pick up some Coca cola too.

cola is gross. Coca cola is the best form of a disgusting drink. I drink Bang's unironically.

And I bang your girlfriend and you think it's a positive thing. See, you becoming a cuck was no accident

>we have realized that people value COMMON and KNOWN things more than anything else
i listened to some jew explaining how 'conspiracy theories' or questioning the narrative was litterally 'losing knowledge' because all of a sudden something you 'knew' was no longer 'known'
>90% of the people will buy bitcoin rather than etheruem
these are two different protocols with two different value propositions, bitcoin as the unit of measurement for the rest of crypto and eth as a smart contract platform which is competing with all the new scp
>rest of post
too surface level, but music is math and the pop formula is interesting

Advertising only works on some people. Usually I only buy something after contemplating the purchase for at least a month. Sometimes even half a year. Modern advertising is shit and only makes me want to now buy the product. When I see an ad for something, I will make sure to NOT buy it.

*not buy the product

Blue does not equal good. Green equals good you stupid faggot.

Then explain why niggers are constantly placed in ads in the US when they still aren't the majority in the country.

They work on the vast majority of people. Girard's Mimetic theory comes to mind, expanded to words, structures and ideas. About 10% or so are immune, or "mimetically aware" as girard describes it. We are an absolute nightmare to those who rely on pushing ideas in this way, since we call out their bullshit. No one is totally immune fwiw ("We live in a society" applied to memes)

It's being used right now by the gun control shills- I just want to map the structures that led up to the rhetoric we see now. It's also not JUST gun control but *everything*, like you said- Red evil, blue good. Abortion good, guns bad. Eat ze bugs GOOD meat BAD, etc.

I actually think there might be religious elements involved, and the structures of society itself are acting as shitty pseudo-religious structures in our modern post-theocratic western society. People without gods still have them, they're the prevailing structure behind tribal social trends and "current thing". Weird shit, no solution without cultural collapse.

Because at first they acted with naive rationality. Trying to guess at what kind of message and messaging would resonate the most. OVer time their methods become more sophisticated and they began to really understand what they were doing. After that there was a pivot away from "message" and focus entirely on "messaging". They believed at this point that the message was arbitrary and that the public could be caroled with the right colored lights and tones to believe in anything they wanted.

DEI, increasing the "Equity" part of ESG, prevailing trends (Hey look how woke we are we're PROGRESSIVE!11!")- That "Burgers?" stonetoss comic comes to mind.

The negro is not "worshipped" so much as it is used as a purity symbol for progressiveness, or something like that. IMO blacks are too problematic so they want to replace them with trans people- more insane, more easily controlled. It's like a corporate subconscious trend, and may or may not be pushed by davos and friends.

>advertising doesn't work on me
How is it being 14?

we're born with that god shaped hole in our hearts and we either fill it with god shaped things or someone else does. We evolved to want to group into societies. A yearning for belonging and meaning is the internal experience of those instincts. Religion binds together groups. It informs members of their common values. There's a pattern to the kinds of messages we follow. They've figured out the formula.

>muh advanced ultra-advertising
Explain how it works on me then? I don't see ads online. I never watch TV and when I do, I go take a shit or make some food or coffee when the commercials are on. Whenever I see a product being shilled (anywhere) it makes me less likely to buy it. That said, I don't buy much in general.

>paying attention to ads
ngmi

>he thinks he needs to pay attention to ads for advertising to work
lol

Because despite your bullshit claims like everyone else who says this stupid shit, they still know it works on you or they would have no incentive to do it.

>I-it doesn't work on me alone! I'm special!
lol. It might not work if you literally completely avoid even viewing it at all, but otherwise it does. It also has lingering impacts on you interacting with anyone who HAS viewed them.

Most ads these days are just a bunch of random ADHD shapes, colors and text with some random shots of people dancing. Anyone pushing this "omg bro advertising is so advanced and special" narrative is probably in advertising. I've actually had some advertising classes (I didn't have a choice at the time) and it's all just self-evident bullshit and person who isn't retarded can come up with. These classes were part of the reason I quit school altogether. It's all just so goddamn retarded.

Dude, seriously, read Girard's books if you haven't, I think you'd like them. Religion is a base human structure, and you need that void filled. If you don't find god in yourself and "create" an individual religion to meet your needs, you end up drifting- and few people have the will to do so.
It doesn't matter. Shilling products is at a lower level than the mimetic stuff works at, but does increase product awareness in general. Got any favorite brands or items? Prefer AMD over Intel? Ask yourself why- Those preferences build over time, and so does your trust in products from those brands. Even if it's due to quality or cost, that might be what that brand is targeting- "We're better than the rest" or "We're cheaper" are things impossible to ignore in the market.

Something was retarded alright but it wasn't school. The fact that you're a retarded drop-out really neatly explains everything.

>watch commercial
>get annoyed by the cheerful music
>get annoyed at people being excited over a dumb product
>get annoyed at the random clips of people dancing
>vow to never buy product again
>repeat
Wow! Awesome!
I don't prefer brand over others unless I genuinly enjoy the taste more. I don't give a fuck who builds my computer as long as it works. Same goes for any product. And if the product sucks, I will never buy from that company again.

ads don't work on everyone dumbass, but they do work on enough people to make it worthwhile to continue advertising

>t. engineer who does SEO bullshit as a side gig
Hilariously people buy more when you straight up tell them what to buy. Lowest common denominator is hella dumb.

You're a retard if you stay in school these days. Waste your 20's to get a useless piece of paper when you can also learn a trade or work for yourself? Good job moron.

When people scream in my ear to buy something, it just makes me want to buy said thing even less.

Woke music made me realize all and any music is just hedonism of the same caliber as smoking cigarettes and fries your brain. I quit music altogether after this. How do you explain that, retard?

Music can be great if you need to concentrate on a boring task. But I do agree that most music is shit.

literally just look at something else kek
you're a fag dude, not everyones a consooomer watching commercials and staring at billboards like you

>he thinks he needs to pay attention to ads for advertising to work
topkek are they sending telepathic ads to you too user? Jesus Christ

Attached: 1649891169755.gif (498x370, 2.51M)

Are you still here?
If so, can you explain why do so many ads now feature ugly niggers?
Do the photograph company literally just pick up any random niggers on the streets and pay them?

I figured this shit out when I was 16. I’m sure a lot of other people have as well.

See though, you build counter-preferences through experience. By knowing what you don't want, you start looking for alternative options.
> That product SUCKS. I'll never buy from them again!
Think about what this means. You had a bad enough experience that the entire companies products are now dead to you. If you need a similar item (Lets use a loaf of bread), you'll look at EVERY other brand than that one. What makes the "new" one stand out? In the context of a bread loaf:
> "comfort"
> "Homeliness"
> "Old times"
> "Family"; etm.
There is a reason loaves of bread have farms, stoves, and families on them- because when you make the consumer more comfortable with the product (It looks like it's always been a part of your life- you don't even notice the brand!), consumption increases.
They have the shit down to a science today lol, I didn't even touch on the big data stuff. Remember Facebook knowing girls were pregnant long before they were, just by browsing habits and statistics?

Topkek. Exactly this. This thread is full of zoomer jews in advertising. Even if I see your stupid fucking ad, I am just going to not buy it.

You really are just a brainlet. Your level of understanding for how advertisement works is juvenile. If grew up in the same country or I were in person with you, I could prove to you in 5 seconds that you're full of shit just by singing common commercial jingles or slogans of the era you grew up in. Guarantee you know them from your teens into your adulthood of those things stuck in your head forever.

"It's NERF, or nothing"
"Quench your thirst. Sprite"
"What are ya gonna pick? Hot pockets"
"It's always coca-cola"

On and on and on. Everyone remembers them, even fags that don't watch TV now and it will be with them the rest of their life and these people will go on to influence you and others.

no I agree user. The advertising industry is one of the most nefarious and I hate them with a passion. I simply do not indulge on ads of any kind and it's pretty easy not to. I don't have cable, I live in the country, I dont have any social media whatsoever, I have all the adblocks installed on my computer ao youtube and Any Forums don't have ads for me either. Outside of grocery stores, I dont really see advertisements

They work on absolutely everyone. Only morons think otherwise.

This. Just don't be a retard, it's pretty simple.

Fellas, I think we're gonna make it

Attached: 1653340509740.gif (640x480, 3.59M)

>can choose between three product
>big brand I hate because of commercial
>other big brand I don't hate because of commercial
>get the one I never heard of
I don't drink soda. I don't eat many snacks. I get my food from the local butcher and vegetable store. I hardly ever buy something to entertain myself and when I do, I usually wait at least a month before I buy it. To see if I still want it then.
>advertising works because this song is stuck in your head
Yeah, which annoys me and makes me not want to buy said brand.

Another dumbass who thinks he's invincible from advertising despite probably spending most of his childhood, teens, and adult life being bombarded with advertisements.

It's cute watching the 90IQ retards think they're the ones escaping advertising influence.

All music is shit and so are all music enjoyers and enablers, foremost those retards who depend on it as a sort of crutch.
No offense, retard.

Schlomo get the fuck out already. Just because you're a pathetic brainlet in a country ruled by brands, doesn't mean all of us are retarded. Nearly everything I buy, I buy locally at smaller stores. If I do need something from a bigger store, I simply pick the one closest to me. I can see that advertising works on many people, but definitely not everyone. You'd have to be an absolute fool to believe this. This might surprise you, but most people don't care about buying shit. It's not important.

kek that's exactly how I feel whenever I do see an ad. Every now and then I will hangout with someone with cable, and I'll see whats on TV and holy shit the ads are so retarded. Ads literally make me want products less kek

None taken user. I like listening to some old music sometimes. My job can be boring at times, so it helps. But silence is great.

>I-I just don't buy anything, okay!
>and any time I recognize an advertisement, I specifically don't buy that!!
Hahaha, it's hilarious watching you try to squirm out of this. It is laughable that you think you're immune to advertisement. Just like every other retard that believes this, they aren't.

To believe this, you will have literally never needed a service or product in your life, dipshit. Lived in the woods on your own completely isolated. If you've ever looked up a product you needed on the internet, you've been advertised to.

There's no avoiding it. If you think you're immune to it, you're just ignorant and stupid and more easy to manipulate since you're ignorant of how it works.

>It works for colors too. RED = EVIL, BLUE = GOOD dont ya think?
Jokes on you. I fucking hate green. I love red and orange. If an ad is green, I will definitely not buy it.

Such a good OP followed by a shitpost

>Just because you're a pathetic brainlet
Coming from someone who just admitted 10 minutes ago that he dropped out of school.

>doesn't mean all of us are retarded.
You certainly are.

>Nearly everything I buy, I buy locally at smaller stores. If I do need something from a bigger store, I simply pick the one closest to me
You're LARPing and trying way too hard. I really wish I could embarrass you by accessing your purchasing history and laughing in your face, but I'll settle for just knowing you're full of shit and stupid.

>I can see that advertising works on many people, but definitely not everyone.
It works on absolutely everyone.

>NOOO YOU LIVE IN A CONSUMERIST HELL YOU MUST HAVE BEEN PARTICIPATING
Topkek
I spent my younger and more vulnerable years hanging outside with friends, you know, having fun. Are there billboards in your woods or something user?
this schlomo is cracking me up, I want him to show us where the ad men touched him, maybe we can help
