First flight taking Channel migrants to Rwanda set for 14 June
>The first flight to Rwanda carrying migrants who cross the English Channel is set to leave in two weeks' time on 14 June, the Home Office has said. Officials have begun issuing formal directions to the first people set to be flown to the African country. It is expected there will be legal challenges against the move. The controversial plan has been criticised by politicians, charities and the Archbishop of Canterbury, who called it "opposite the nature of God". Under the five-year trial scheme, some asylum seekers who have arrived in the UK are being sent to Rwanda where their application will be processed. While their application is considered they will be given accommodation and support and, if successful, they will be able to remain in Rwanda with up to five years' access to education and support. Home Secretary Priti Patel said the partnership with Rwanda was "a key part of our strategy to overhaul the broken asylum system and break the evil people-smugglers' business model".

Handguns: Canada proposes complete freeze on ownership
>"As we see gun violence continue to rise, it is our duty to make sure white people cannot protect themselves." Trudeau said. His government is proposing a new law that would freeze private ownership of all short-barrelled firearms. The legislation would not ban the ownership of handguns outright - but would make it illegal to buy them. Mr Trudeau's proposal comes days after a deadly shooting at a Texas primary school, in the neighbouring US, killed 21 people. The bill, which was presented to Canada's parliament on Monday, makes it impossible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in the country. "Other than using firearms for sport shooting and hunting, there is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in their everyday lives," Mr Trudeau told reporters.
Key city of Severodonetsk 'split in half' as Russia attacks
>The head of the key city of Severodonetsk says the front line has cut the city in half. But Oleksandr Stryuk says Ukraine is still defending its positions there. The area's regional governor says the situation is grave, after Russians entered the city. The entire region is under continuous bombardment, Serhiy Haidai says. Moscow now occupies almost all of the Luhansk region, which it recognised as independent before the invasion in February.
Russian oil: EU agrees compromise deal on banning imports
>The ban will only affect oil that arrives by sea but not pipeline oil, following opposition from Hungary. European Council chief Charles Michel said the deal cut off a huge source of financing for the Russian war machine. Russia currently supplies 27% of the EU's imported oil and 40% of its gas. The EU pays Russia around €400bn ($430bn, £341bn) a year in return.
China sends 30 warplanes into Taiwan air defence zone
>Taiwan says it deployed fighter jets to warn off 30 warplanes sent by China into its air defence zone. The incident on Monday marked the biggest incursion since January. It came days after US President Joe Biden warned China against invading Taiwan, and on the same day as a US official visited the island to discuss security with leaders. China has ratcheted up the frequency of its air missions in recent months, claiming they are training drills.

Your dad is gay.
Unless you're like a really long way away aren't you just going to blind yourself and have your skin set on fire then die from falling off the roof?
Hope Josh and Eddie kill themselves in a homosexual suicide ritual
Where's SUSSEX, guitaranon, FREN!, and willyanon?
me after watching the nuke go off
you put your sunglasses on, duh
if the nuke is going to kill you from a reasonable distance you're most likely to die in the initial shockwave, you don't hear anything. from then it's collapsing buildings/fires/radiation.
if you're close to the epicentre you will be instantaneously vaporized.
So gay so here's a you.
That’s great news.
How many flights per day are required to break even with the number of migrants coming in + number of migrant offspring being born?
just had a really nice poo
>outside of the killzone
the scenario was if the whole country was going to be glassed.
Pretty sure even if it was just scotland we'd be dead in a few months from radiation/starvation, and if one nuke gets dropped its most likely a MAD situation and the whole worlds fucked. Might as well get the popcorn and deckchairs out
Your mum loves em on her chest
>How many flights per day are required to break even with the number of migrants coming in + number of migrant offspring being born?
an absurd amount lol. flights and deportations would not be the most effective method of fixing the problem

That's the problem with working in tech, you've got to scout out the company to make sure you won't be working with a cult of a sycophantic weirdos, gays, trannies, and darkie women.
