Most religions have some sort of element of suffering that gets the membwr closer to God. When you sacrifice something, it makes you stronger. When you put yourself in a situation that causes struggles, you learn to overcome and realize that your life is not bad. Buddha, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Jesus, Moses all achieved higher states of being by suffering for others
