the cops right now are getting a lot of shit for holding back in the hallway for 70 minutes while there were still kids inside the adjoining classrooms.
is this criticism warranted however? the doors are heavy commercial firedoors and they were locked from the inside. with someone with an AR-15 waiting for cops to come in.
there is a lot of nitpicking by the media but the situation was so shitty for the cops that if they didnt wait for a SWAT team then there would be officer deaths. i dont think those police shields would stop an AR-15 at that range
Why do school shootings only happen in elementary schools? >high schools have thousands of kids with cameras >hard to fake a shooting with kids spamming Facebook, instagram and Snapchat with videos of shooting >all operations are done where there will be no cameras
Fuck all leafs
Angel Russell
You had the shooter in contact and broke contact so he could go murder kids. You deserve all the shit you get.
ive never in my life seen school classroom doors that look like that. those are heavy duty fire exits
Robert Cooper
Police use battering rams and shields for this exact reason.
Jason Jackson
>then there would be officer deaths Do not care. Do your fucking job.
Jason Wright
are we sure it was a border patrol agent who took out the shooter? some user posted his planefag of an Army aircraft landing in the area about the same time.. coincidence? any information on why a "border patrol agent" was in the area at the time? if not, why not?
Jace Torres
Classrooms don't have 2-hour fire doors. That's actually a fire-code violation itself, as it prevents rapid egress.
Chase Jones
strange how he skips all those rooms and goes to 111-112.
Brody Russell
my only criticism to this argument is that cops arent invincible. they could have tried to take the subject down with their handguns after the crash but the situation escalated way too quickly. we dont have much info yet but the cops after the crash probably took cover rather than letting themselves get picked up in the open after the crash. the main blame really lies on the teacher who propped the door
Jason Nelson
Poor kids. I will pray for their parents
Evan Davis
I saw in an article some of the wounded went to some military hospital. all very strange considering I never saw a single wounded person being brought out into any ambulance and theres no actual footage of anything.
Juan Robinson
i would guess those rooms are probably the administration or the music/art rooms which were either empty or locked.
Justin Green
Praise Christ.
Benjamin Campbell
Firefighter with experience in forcible entry. With just the tools I have in my car I can breach that door in 30 seconds. Fire rated is anti fire not secure. Really any door I can get in in less than 1 minute unless it was reinforced from inside.
Charles Fisher
they can still lock from the inside with a key or turn lock
SCOTUS ruled that police forces are not legally obligated to respond to calls for help or assistance by citizens, and their help is discretionary. In no way are they legally mandated to serve citizens in need.
Legally, they're "in the right", morally however, is a far different matter entirely.
Aiden Howard
If this had been a gas chamber, entire entry team would've wiped
>the doors are heavy commercial firedoors and they were locked from the inside. This alone should make any parent wary. Schools are built like prisons now with electronic steel doors that can be locked remotely.
Brayden Morales
>hinges visible
Is there a reason the police didn't just blow the hinges off the door with a breaching shotgun/choke and enter immediately?
Connor Sullivan
>doors cannot be opened >shooter burns down the school instead >100% casualties
Wyatt Nelson
The border patrol guy didn't wait. Be sure to never ever call the cops. ACAB.
Brandon Bailey
sometimes the AI reacts quickly and domes you with first shot, meaning you never hear the incoming fire
Christopher Turner
it wasnt in the script. they need DEMAND the body camera footage.
