Lot's of people, yes. Mostly it is just a general warning not to start any shit. I almost killed three of them, but they all backed down at the last moment.
One of them was on a horse and threatened to ride down the sheriff. I had a 12 ga shotgun. I considered shooting the horse, then I decided best to go for the root cause of the problem. Like I say, though, he backed down.

Yeah. I forgot how to load it and had to get out a flashlight. Then I realized I didn't know exactly how to point it because I hadn't thought ahead how to practice in the mirror, or where the kickback would go. And it was all hot and sweaty out and I didn't bring enough to drink to settle my nerves.

And then worst of all it started getting light out by the time I worked out what to do and where to do it and people started showing up to the job site opposite of my desired location and they turned on all these bright lights so I had to get our of there. Shit sucked.

First time I had someone put a gun to my head, I was seven. Some ruffian had an issue with my older cousin and thought I was her brother. Doubt he had any intention of harming me, but people showed up quickly afterward and I ran away.

Worth mentioning is that I was Black at the time, and have been so all of my life.
