Not directly but he does appoint the chairman of the Federal Reserve at least in theory (LOL) who influences our country's monetary policy along with the board of governors (and whoever controls them). So, if we believe that our country is genuinely run democratically (I don't, obviously), then the president is partially to blame for the inflationary policies of the federal reserve. Furthermore, if the president is engaging in hostility with foreign nations that are supplying the west with their gas, then that would be another way he would be responsible for rising gas prices. Of course, I don't really believe any of this real. The Council on Foreign Relations and the Roundtable Group network (as well as the groups and families above them) control America; not the president, the congress or the judicial branch. Either way, the president is either partially responsible for gas prices or he's willing to be fall man for those who are really responsible.
